– Corporate Finance provides overall management and has responsibility for BGIS’ US Region’s operations accounting, corporate accounting, payroll, treasury, accounts receivable, tax, management / external financial reporting, financial systems, and the overall internal control environment.

RESPONSIBILITIESAccounting LeadershipResponsible for accurate and timely issuance of BGIS’ US Region’s (Region) monthly financial results.Ensures that the financial results comply with IFRS and BGIS Global accounting policies.Oversee compliance with regulatory authorities and files Federal, State and Local employment and payroll taxes.Engage BGIS Global tax team support as it relates to tax issues and ensure tax changes are communicated to the organization on a timely basisResponsible for the maintenance of strong systems for accounting records and internal controls designed to mitigate risk and to protect the Region’s assets.Ensures that accounting reports meet internal and external customer’s needs.Reviews, maintains and updates accounting policies, goals, objectives with appropriate stakeholders including BGIS Global Corporate Finance group.Responsible for documenting accounting processes and maintaining our information.Provide guidance and support in the implementation of accounting policies, processes, and procedures for corporate and operational accounting teams in accordance with BGIS’ global accounting policies and standards.Communicate changes to financial reporting requirements (IFRS, SOX etc) on a timely basis and drive organizational complianceDrive continuous improvement in financial systems partnering, especially in setting up of new business units and acquisitions, working IT and BGIS Global Corporate Finance groupWork with external and internal auditors to remediate audit issues and ensure timely completion of auditsProvide financial, planning & analysis support to the SGA groups of the RegionLeadershipDirects the day-to-day accounting activities and has responsibility for accounting data processing operations, administration, correspondence, communications, billing and other support activities.Trains, mentors and manages finance and accounting staff and assists in their development.Implements quality and customer-service standards that include resolving problems and identifying system improvements.CommunicationStrong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis to customer service.Ensures that relevant financial information is provided to managers and shareholders in a timely manner.Communicates effectively with business managers about accounting policies and procedures.Keeps other departments up to date with changes to rules and regulations and impacts of changes to accounting systems.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIESCPA required.Four (4) years of Big 4 or regional firm experience a preferred.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
