Patient Services Coordinator – Medical Imaging

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator (1.0 FTE, DAY SHIFT) to work in Medical Imaging Administration at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.This position provides a wide range of routine to moderately complex administrative tasks in support of the Medical Imaging Department on the Cherry Hill Campus. Responsibilities include the organization, prioritization and coordination of a moderate to high volume of work including confidential information. Specific duties include providing exceptional customer service to customers and visitors; typing, editing, and proofreading various department documents; and creating and maintaining routine to moderately complex filing systems including both electronic imaging copies and film files.At Swedish, we are passionate about healthcare for our caregivers. Full-time caregivers (0.75-1.0 FTE) who earn less than $60,000 per year will be offered the Swedish PPO Medical Plan with a $0 premium cost, including dependent coverage.In this position you will:* Answers multiple and/or designated telephone lines, prioritizes and routes calls.* Greets visitors and customers; acknowledges customer and visitor questions, requests, complaints. Refers visitors and customers to appropriate department/organization or service center.* Answer routine and moderately complex visitor and customer questions, research and follow-up.* Schedule imaging procedures for patients, coordinating with other imaging and hospital departments such as the Heart Center, Neuro Institute and Surgery.* Edits, types and proofreads correspondence, memos, reports, policies and forms, other printed material from notes or dictation.Required qualifications for this position include:* High School Diploma or GED* One (1) year experience in a similar or related field (i.e., physician’s office, scheduler, etc.)Preferred qualifications for this position include:* Graduate from secretarial program or equivalent work experience* Medical Imaging experienceAbout the Cherry Hill Campus.What is now known as the James Tower at Swedish/Cherry Hill Campus was home to the first hospital in Seattle, established in 1877 by the Sisters of Providence, a Catholic charity.
