Quality Engineer II – Medical Devices

Crane Aerospace Electronics is seeking a Quality Engineer II on our Medical Devices Team in Lynnwood, WA. Position Summary Reporting to the Quality Engineering Supervisor, as Quality Engineer II you will perform tasks to develop, apply and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products. Implements established methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and production equipment. Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action. Responsibilities Control and monitoring of quality levels in our Microelectronics production cell. Drive timely root cause analysis and implementation of permanent preventative and corrective actions for quality issues working directly with product teams, manufacturing teams and customers. Drive effective qualification and validation of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key customer representatives. Review and approve quality document changes (ECO, MCO, deviations) within our Product Data Management (AGILE) system. Support audits with AS9100ISO 90012000ISO 134852003 Registrars, MIL-PRF-38534MIL-STD-883 Government and Customer Auditors. Champion operational excellence techniques such as SPC, DOE, Lean, Six Sigma to drive continuous quality improvements in the manufacturing area. Conduct internal audits and provide support for failure analysis as required. Minimum Requirements Two (2) or more years of related and relevant experience as a Quality Engineer Experience dealing directly with medical device customers Knowledge of ISO13485 Standard and related systems Knowledge of electronic processes and components Knowledge of medical device industry practices and standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with all levels of organization Bachelor of Science in EE, ME, IE, Materials Science, or Physics Knowledge of Lean Principles and Implementation Tools Preferred ASQ certification (CQE, CRE, CQM, etc.) andor Six Sigma Black BeltGreen Belt Knowledge of ISO9001AS9100 Systems Knowledge of Military Standards and requirements Employment Eligibility Requirement Must be a US Person under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to be eligible.
