Manager of Human Resources

Our client, a regionally-based healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Human Resources Management professional to join their team, located in the Northwest Region of the US, more specifically the Seattle, WA area to work in the capacity of Manager of Human Resources. The chosen candidate will be responsible for employee relations, benefits, recruitment, payroll, and legal procedures. This ideal candidate should possess experience formulating HR policies and procedures for the HR department and recommend practices to senior management.

Responsibilities

* Develop and administer various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel.

* Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.

* Administer compensation program

* Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures

* Supports recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel

* Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with appropriate state and federal laws.

* Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.

* Develops and maintain the organization’s HRIS system.

* Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

* Collaborate and partner with management in resolution of employee relations issues.

* Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

* Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

* Participates in annual budgeting process by developing budget for HR operations.

Qualifications

Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resource Management or related field is required. SHRM certification is a plus but not required.

5 or more years of HR Administration with HR Generalist experience is required.

3 or more years of experience in supervisory or leadership role is required.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and to conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner is required.

Must have demonstrated the ability to adapt to a variety of HR issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches.

Experience managing HR operations budget is preferred.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple HR projects or initiatives is essential in this role.

Ability to function as an individual and team contributor simultaneously is required.   

Experience in working within a culturally diverse employment population is strongly preferred.

Strong communications skills (i.e. verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, etc.) are essential in this role.

Strong experience with MS Office (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
