Our colleagues feel more like friends and family, making what we do every day feel less like work.Position OverviewIn this position, you’ll be a Senior Software Developer supporting a variety of projects from conception through delivery.

You’ll write exceptional code, that is clean and reusable, and architect full-stack solutions.

Your experience and leadership will be vital to the success of client projects.

Your interest in partnering and mentoring junior developers will contribute to the growth of the team and the company.

You’ll combine your technical experience with Agile and Lean design practices, to translate business requirements into workable product roadmaps.

Working amongst a Scrum team and closely with partners and users, you’ll play a key role in driving towards a solution and making decisions to implement and iterate on the proposed solution.

This position is remote, as is the rest of the team, and work schedules generally align with the Pacific Time zone.What You’ll DoBuild applications that harness geospatial technologies to monitor, analyze, and represent environmental, commercial, and political challenges.Lead a development team or work independently to implement and deliver project requirements within budget and on schedule using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Create proof of concepts and test their feasibility.Collaborate with a wide range of co-workers and partners, including designers, data analysts, developers, scientists, policy experts, and engineers to create innovative solutions to complex problems.Provide assumptions, feature requirements and estimations of effort based on a scope of work or project description.

Challenge yourself and others to stay on the forefront of geospatial technologies and development practices.Provide mentorship to less experience developers and team members.Contribute to open source and open data projects.Your Background and Experience8 years minimum in a software development roleB.S., M.S.
