Commercial Restaurant Equipment Service Technician

From brand new restaurants to supermarkets and school cafeterias, CTS provides installation, preventive maintenance, and service of hot-side and food preparation equipment. As a part of the CTS team your duties as a Service Technician will be to provide preventive maintenance, warranty work and repair service for commercial kitchen equipment.

Position: Service Technician

Wage: D.O.E – Starting at $24.00/hr

What You Will Do:

  • Diagnose, repair and service commercial cooking, warewashing, and other specialty food service equipment
  • Demonstrate abilities in troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams and schematics
  • Provide job related information and relay information clearly to the office through job notes and quotes
  • Research and provide information for repairs to be generated into Quotes for customers
  • Manage your trucks inventory and keep your truck clean and organized
  • Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication and technical abilities
  • Utilize the company’s field management software to maintain accurate paperwork

Minimum Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends
  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces and liquids
  • Ability to work on ladders and roofs
  • Ability to adjust to new assignments and working conditions
  • Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications
  • Commercial Kitchen equipment repair experience
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate general power tools
  • Self-motivated with the proven ability prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 – $40.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
