Building Performance Engineer

An employer is looking for a Building Performance Engineer in the Greater Seattle Area.

This person can sit anywhere in the Greater Seattle area as there are sites all over the area that they could have this person working at.

The engineer will be responsible for a range of building energy and performance projects and services.

They will manage and perform building tune ups, field and monitoring-based commissioning projects, build analytic services and software, utility and interval data analysis, energy assesments and audits, EnergyStar certifications, measurement and verification, and energy project development support.

In addition this engineer will provide overall project management of direct to owner energy conservation projects ATS performs.

The candidate will be responsible for all resources such as finances, labor, documentation, and schedule to ensure successful project completion.

The role involves interfacing with customers, professional engineers, architects, utility providers, Washington State Department of Enterprise Services and Commerce, and a variety of subcontractors.

The expectation of the engineer will be to carry out functional performance and other grant or contractual directed requirements and submit reports to respective authorities.

This includes ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.

There wil be direct customer interface, including pricing and negotiating change orders.

Managing sub-contractors and suppliers and visit project jobsites regularly is also part of the of the position.

Job Requirements:
3+ years of engineering experience 2+ years of commercial experienceComputer programming experienceKnowledge and experience with Building Mechanical Systems and High-Performance SequencesStrong understanding of Energy Management and DDC Control theory and applications.Understanding of lighting, building ventilation requirements, and renewables.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExperience with electronics and basic electrical circuitsAbility to manage own schedule, time, and projects
