Make a Difference.TitleEDI Specialist 2Overview of PositionDesigns, implements, and supports electronic commerce solutions.

Responsibilities may also include application development in support of healthcare EDI transaction processing.

Provides recommendations on the process improvements related to implementation processes and leads the efforts to create improvements.

Responsible for EDI workflow design and construction, web portal configuration, and day-to-day production application support.

Develops advanced EDI edits and business rules using industry tools and applications such as EDISIM, Instream, and Transaction Insight.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Understands and monitors various parts of EDI systems (including data mapping, translation and interface); performs structured root cause analysis and alerts others to discrepancies, errors and possible causesIndependently troubleshoots ongoing issues (e.g.

addressing missing acknowledgements, solving translation errors, identifying connectivity issues, reviewing errors referred by support team) and escalates appropriately.Provides ongoing support and monitoring of the EDI environment, functionality, and system alerts; resolves more complex communication and translation errors.Performs a range of routine and more complex implementations of EDI processes for new customers (e.g.

setting up processes, initial connectivity testing, coordinating/scheduling implementation rollout phases).What are the requirements needed for this position?Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2012)Linux navigation and research experienceExperience writing SQL queriesWorking knowledge of command line processes within both Windows and Linux operations systems.Experience working with clients and internal business partners as a member of an implementation team (collect, analyze, construct, and support technical requirements for client implementations).What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Familiar with Java development.Familiar with Python development.Familiar with EDI edits and batch transaction workflow development.What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
