About The Role
Blue Nile is looking for an experienced affiliate and partnerships marketing leader to join our marketing team.

This role will lead the affiliate marketing team and own the strategy, operational execution and business impact of our affiliate marketing channel.

This person will be building and developing a high performing team of marketers and driving the roadmap to grow the channel.

This role is responsible for driving the: channel strategy, business development and onboarding of new partners, growth playbook for existing partners, channel insights and measurement and channel P&L.

This role will partner closely with leaders in merchandising, brand and other performance marketing channels.

An ideal candidate will have led affiliate or partnership marketing at a consumer focused company.

They will have demonstrated the ability to grow their channel by driving growth across the funnel and with a wide variety of partners.

This candidate is strong with the quantitative side of marketing: focusing their efforts to deliver growth in partners, traffic, customer acquisition and revenue.

They are also strong on the relationship side of partnerships: they have high judgment, build trust with partners and establish themselves as the preferred partner.

This candidate will dive in and drive operational actions where required and be a great coach for their team.

They will also partner effectively with merch, analytics, brand and product to drive the success of the business.

This role reports to the VP, Performance Marketing.

What you will do:

  • Lead with principles consistent with Blue Nile’s values.

    This includes the demonstrated ability to think strategically, deliver results, build a high-performing team, continuously grow and learn, lead across team boundaries, and inspire the team to deliver remarkable customer experiences.

  • Own the results of the affiliate marketing channel, including marketing budget, revenue and contribution profit.

    Establish the critical inputs that you will improve to meet your goals and build the operational muscle to deliver.

  • Build a culture of test and learn to drive insights and improvement in the business.

    Push the insights that you’re driving out to the broader team to multiply your impact.

  • Develop and manage a high performing team of marketers.
  • Be bold: Define an ambitious roadmap to drive growth by growing the partner portfolio, improving our existing partnerships, improving conversion and optimizing the incrementality of the channel.
  • Deliver quality results: balance speed of execution and making large enough investments to grow the business.

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years as a marketer with progressively larger impact and scope.
  • An undergraduate degree in a field where you had to do some basic math is preferred
  • Experience in consumer businesses, ideally in ecommerce.
  • Proven ability to hire, develop and retain high performing talent.
  • Growth mindset: you build a roadmap of impactful ideas and are resourceful in making it happen
  • You are a strong operator who is looked to for your expertise in achieving results
