Head of Integrated Business Planning

Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is expected to be a key component of Andover Brands overall operations – connecting sales, finance, brand/category management, purchasing, production, warehouse operations services and supply chain to deliver ONE plan across the enterprise. The successful IBP leader will play a significant role in implementing and accelerating the adoption of IBP across Andover Brands. You will drive transformational change by designing and implementing an integrated forecasting and planning process across the company to satisfy customer needs and optimize financial results.

We are looking for a dynamic, results oriented leader to implement integrated business planning processes, tools and analytics, globally across the organization.

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities Of The Position

  • Help create the vision and lead the implementation of IBP at Andover Brands.
  • Enable Operations capacity readiness to achieve demand & growth projections.
  • Understand all Sales & Operations planning related processes and ensure optimal use of the IBP system.
  • Help drive organizational adoption and acceptance of the IBP process.
  • Oversee Sales & Operations planning processes to support a 18-24 month demand plan by function, and work with the COO, finance and others on long term strategic planning to ensure one cohesive S&O Plan.
  • Recommend improvements to optimize sales and operations performance utilizing tradeoff analysis and scenario planning.
  • Oversee the demand planning process; provide analytics to continuously improve the forecast and drive accountability.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure clarity of financials to support decision making.
  • Lead continuous education processes after implementation to ensure broad organizational support and alignment towards IBP.
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvement plans to optimize IBP processes to meet company objectives for quality, cost, inventory control, responsiveness and growth.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members, department leaders, IBP leadership, and internal customers.
  • Oversee process to consolidate IBP information to identify gaps and establish the agenda for the executive IBP process.
  • Monitor process KPI’s to ensure the business and the process is delivering stated objectives. Ensure corrective action measures are identified and executed.
  • Engage and stay aligned with Sales, Brand/Category/Product Management, Finance, Production and Supply Chain to maintain continuous integrated resolution of issues as they arise, as well as identify and manage threats and opportunities to the plan.
  • Facilitate the Executive Management Business Planning meeting.
  • Develop/implement inventory strategies to achieve service level goals and optimal inventory levels; monitor the performance of inventory policies.
  • Lead and/or leverage cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage large-scale process improvement and technology deployment projects for IBP-linked initiatives.

Position Requirements

  • Authentic leader, direct communicator, able to build strong relationships across the company, with all levels.
  • 5 years of successful and progressive scope of responsibility with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and/or S&OP experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including management of expectations across a range of different stakeholder interests and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influence skills including efficient collaboration, effective negotiation, timely conflict resolution, and creative problem solving of difficult situations such as resource constraints, ambiguous and/or conflicting requirements, and other roadblocks.
  • Experience in delivering large, complex program results that require cross-functional involvement.
  • Prior experience with IBP, business process improvement programs or large-scale corporate initiatives including stakeholders in sales, finance or supply chain operation functions.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • End to end business process operational understanding

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics & Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience (preferably in forecasting and demand planning)
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with statistical modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience implementing a Demand Planning solutions
  • Experience using data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Operations or Analytics & Statistics
  • NetSuite experience
