Must have the ability to perform common manual laboring tasks associated with grounds and facilities maintenance after being instructed on what is to be done and how to do the task. Must have ability to operate equipment such as power mowers, power trimmers, power edgers, powered weed-eaters and/or related hand tools to perform grounds maintenance work. Must have the ability to lift or move loads such as moving heavy loads of dirt, cement or asphalt pushing a wheelbarrow. Work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.Physical Effort: The incumbent exerts very heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds, running power mowers on grades or pushing heavy wheelbarrow loads.Working Conditions: Works outside in all kinds of weather, and inside in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy. The equipment, tools, and tasks involved frequently require special care to avoid serious injuries.EducationThis job does not have an education qualification requirement.
