Now, more than ever, we are focused on upholding the legacies of sustainable, high-quality textiles that are worthy of the label “Warranted to be a Pendleton.” Come and join a team of hard-working people who make quality and craftsmanship a part of their everyday lives.POSITION OVERVIEW:Responsible for the operation of machinery in the Dye House department in a textile manufacturing plant.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Move pallets of fabric, bales of wool fibers, and carts of yarnFollow detailed specifications for fabric, wool fibers, and yarnSew fabric togetherLoad fabric, wool fibers, and yarn in machinesMeasure and weigh dyes and chemicalsOperate machinery, including dye machines, yarn and stock dryers, overhead crane, and hydraulic pressUnload wet fabric, wool fibers, and yarn from machinesCheck fabric, wool fibers, and yarn specificationsClean machines and areasPerform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulationsPerform other duties as assignedSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge and accuracy of basic math, especially fractions and percentagesBasic ability to work with computersAttention to detailPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift various weights of chemicals and textiles with assistanceOccasionally lift up to 50 poundsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma/GED2 or more years of production experienceOr any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilitiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:Production Mill, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses and face shields, aprons, gloves, and non-slip, steel-toed, and chemical resistant safety shoesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
