Technical Writer

VOLT is seeking candidates for Technical Writer role for a 100 Remote temporary contingent position. Candidate in this role will be an experienced technical writer who can create artifacts to support several important programs, including vendor risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery, security compliance, and security operations. Must Haves 5+ years of technical writing experience with policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, etc. 3+ years of cybersecurity experience w knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO2700x, etc. Demonstrated proficiency with Confluence Background in security with policy lifecycle management experience Experience in online or cloud services or technology industries (preferred) (CISSP),(CISA), or (CISM) — Preferred BONUS- Experience writing for Audits Compliance (SOC1 SOC 2) In this role, you will create content from existing documentation and discussions with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders across the company. This position is a 6-8 month contract. Responsibilities Job Summary Write and edit standards, procedures, and guidelines as needed Write and edit security wikis, whitepapers, and other audit support documents Develop and implement customized technical documents gather information about needs, objectives, functions, features, and requirements from cross-functional security teams Collect and provide a coordinated response of all reviews before submission Translate technical concepts into simple terms. Requirements Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor39s degree in a related field or equivalent alternative education, skills, or practical experience is required Background in security with policy lifecycle management experience In-depth understanding of information security and information technology Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Self-starter, self-motivated, pro-active, and able to handle concurrent activities Experience working cross-functionally and globally Strong organizational and planning skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in online or cloud services or technology industries Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) VOLT is an Equal Opportunity Employer
