Account Representative

The Account Representative provides essential support to the sales team, partnering with an account manager, account executive, and sales manager. You’ll also be working with folks from operations, marketing, and finance, so you’ll know your way around the office pretty quickly. Any given day will be packed with projects like initiating and following up on operations orders, projecting customer lead volume, setting up and tracking budgets, and communicating with clients.

What you’ll do:

You’ll manage your customer accounts and work with the operations team to take care of requests such as these:

  • Process lead delivery updates
  • Provide customer reporting at the account level
  • Respond to inbound customer requests about their listings
  • Provide monthly reconciliation and billing support for the account managers
  • Issue credits according to customer contracts after approval by an account manager or account executive
  • Maintain customer information and complete any necessary edits
  • Record all activities in Salesforce
  • Input contracts and insertion orders for customer renewals and price increases
  • Process lead projection requests
  • Troubleshoot problems related to customer information as requested by account manager
  • Other projects as needed
  • Over time, assume account management responsibilities for select clients

Essential skills and qualities:

  • One-to-two years sales support or customer support experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Solid computer and Internet skills
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with complex issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work tasks concurrently and thrive in an unstructured workplace
  • Be a self-starter who takes ownership of projects and drives them to completion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Advertising agency, marketing, and/or startup experience a plus
  • Experience in the education marketplace a plus
  • Previous work in customer-facing, data-intensive environments desired
  • Previous use of CRM systems preferred

Pay: $42,000.00 per year
