http://www.Airgas.Com/company/careers/employee-benefits How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?You will supervise and coordinate activities of drivers engaged in loading and transporting bulk cryogenics liquids and transport of compressed and liquid gas cylinders to customers or company locations.

You’ll plan routes and schedule drivers, vehicles, deliveries and pick-ups based on driver, company, and customer information.

You’ll also monitor all bulk installations with telemetry to prevent run outs, and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of trucks.

Most importantly, our Distribution Manager will promote safety as a priority.In particular, you will:Create a safe work environment by contributing to zero preventable accidents, and by continuous compliance with company safety rules, standard operating procedures and governmental regulations required for the positionRide with each driver every month providing coaching on Smith Safe Driving principles, DOT paperwork compliance, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, Material Handling, and customer service relations.Interpret job orders to drivers, and assign duties; Assign deliveries to drivers according to customer needs, current delivery schedule and availability of supplies.Maintain and balance shipping papers/manifests; Verify or prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders.Investigate customer complaints.

Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist drivers in solving work problems.

Are you a MATCH?Bachelor’s Degree preferred or High school degree with three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least five years’ industry experience in a supervisory role working in distribution and logistics.Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding hours of service and the handling of hazardous materials.Ability to operate forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications.Class A or B CDL with Airbrake and Hazmat Endorsements required.Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
