Program Manager 2 – Xbox Customer Experience Team

The Xbox Customer Experiences Team (CXT) works to prevent friction across all gaming experience before it ever occurs while also building digital solutions that provide personalized, predictive, and proactive support to our community across all gaming endpoints.

Our ultimate goal is to deliver gamer happiness through empathy and customer obsession.

We are seeking a customer-obsessed Program Manager who has a deep understanding of customer behaviors and actions, and experience with program management and building high-quality customer experiences.

This PM will define and drive features across multiple experiences and platforms where the Xbox community needs help.

Ultimately this person must help us understand the unmet, unarticulated needs of our players and build experiences to solve those needs.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have obsession to understand customer problems and do what is right for them, a well-tuned sense of what makes a great customer experience, the ability to collaborate with anyone, and a passion for gaming.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a deep, functional expert in building and delivering great customer experiences across a variety of endpoints and form factors (console, PC, web, mobile apps, etc).
  • Author articulate, comprehensive, and detail-oriented program management specifications, roadmaps, and related deliverables.
  • Balance competing requirements and dependencies from internal and external partners across the Xbox organization.
  • Enable an Agile engineering team to deliver features through driving standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, project management, etc.
  • Measure the success of features you ship and iterate on those features and plans to ensure we deliver the highest possible impact for the Xbox community.

Qualifications:

  • Customer obsession: Focus on the customer and customer experience to articulate customer problem statements and identify ways to solve them, while utilizing verbal, visual and written skills and the ability to communicate with highly technical management teams.
  • Collaboration and communication: Strong cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to rally teams to deliver great user experiences on time and at quality.
  • Specifications: Demonstrated ability to translate consumer and business goals into end-to-end feature plans, with high attention to detail (e.g., scenarios, functional specs, schedules).
  • Critical thinking: Intellectual curiosity, strong and specific track record of structuring and solving complex problems
  • Agile: Experience driving projects in an Agile engineering environment and expertise in Agile tools such as Azure Dev Ops (AD)
  • Creativity: Creative problem solving and planning skills.

    A willingness to learn, share, and improve.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • 1-3 years of engineering program management experience on consumer-facing, large-scale operations, preferably in the Gaming industry.
  • BS/BA degree
