Stockroom Supervisor

This is a Contract position in Kennewick, WA posted December 7, 2021.

The Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stockroom, including stocking and distribution of inventory and supplies, for Product Shipments, Daily Cycle Counts, Annual Inventory and audits as required. Maintain data in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Provide training and supervision to the Stockroom team.

This position is located on-site at company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Maintain 99.8% Inventory Accuracy for total part inventory, storage location, Lot Numbers and Expiration Dates
  • Perform and oversee order picking for the accurate fulfillment of parts requests, following documented processes and instructions; Communicate with Production, Procurement, Sales Support and Shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Supervise, schedule and manage the activities of the Stockroom team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Perform stocking and allocation duties of inventory and supplies
  • Participate with investigating material problems and inventory control issues
  • Lead and participate in daily cycle count activities and independent stockroom audits; Make inventory adjustments in MRP system; Report and review discrepancies with Operations management
  • Train stockroom team in processes and monitor to ensure compliance
  • Schedule and instruct stockroom team to assist incoming receiving and receipt inspection, material handling, and manufacturing as needed
  • Ensure that direct reports are trained and evaluated on their knowledge, skills, capabilities and progress, contributions and commitment to Cadwell’s business success
  • Monitor direct reports’ compliance with applicable Company values and policies
  • Complete Company people management requirements
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in warehouse management or related logistics in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience leading employees/teams

Job Knowledge / Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Stockroom basics, including interpret packing lists, pull orders accurately, fill inventory kits, use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
  • Use of forklift, hand truck and pallet jack; Must be forklift certified or become certified within 30 days of employment
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills: MS Office (MS Word, Excel) and Google applications, and database systems
  • Accurately and timely data entry; Quality and productivity standards are critical requirements of the position
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including receiving, understanding and following oral and written instructions, information, procedures and schematics
  • Complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision, with precision and within defined schedule
  • Lead teams, organize work and deliver results through others, hold team members accountable; report unresolved issues to Manager
  • Work both independently and as an effective member of the team
  • Critical success factors include attention to detail, receive and follow instructions and assignments, and meet given priorities and deadlines
  • Must develop knowledge of Cadwell products, and their parts and assemblies

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • General manufacturing positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

  • Work hours outside normal business hours may be required to meet business needs
