Tax Supervisor

This is a Full-time position in Tacoma, WA posted June 8, 2021.

No sponsorship, No Margin Sharing, No Corp to Corp or EAD candidates.

US Citizens or Green Cards ONLY!

Full time opening!

Must be onsite in Tacoma or Willing to self-relocate-For the right candidate they would consider relocation assistance (but they haven’t done this yet)

MUST be local candidates.

Training will be a week 5 or less years experience  Salary: $70-90k CPA (would consider people getting it but would prefer if they already have it), no direct contact with clients, but maybe some.

Public accounting (not big 4).

The resumes they’ve seen before that didn’t have public accounting they weren’t as excited about.

They would prefer someone with recent public accounting experience.

Business tax focus.

Construction, real estate, manufacturing, professional services, state trust, M&A Interview: 1 with Jenn and 1 with Darryl.

Might add one more with the shareholder, but they’re not sure yet. 
 

Requirements:

4-6 years’ experience MS experience HIGHLY preferred IT general controls SOX compliance Design implementation Microservice – BIG Azure technologies Cloud infrastructure, Cloud environment Data flows (not in a context of business process)
 

Job Description:

Tax Supervisors provide client-centric service and understand client organizations while proactively communicating solution options to clients and engagement teams.

Tax practice at Doty connects accounting professionals with opportunities to provide consulting services across departments while developing functional and industry specialization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team Manage engagement deliverables (such as tax returns, work papers, etc.) Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.

Understand the client’s organization, procedures and internal policies Act as a resource for tax staff and colleagues Analyze IRS notices and draft responses Prepare complex tax returns including partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts & estates Understand clients’ goals and needs and servicing clients directly Own client relationships and work Research tax issues and providing guidance to clients Participate in business community engagement initiatives and with an expectation of growth

Qualifications for this position include:
CPA Designation Bachelor’s Degree required, Graduate Degree preferred Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and communications skills 4+ years of public accounting experience Innovative/ Growth mindset
